For those of you who follow my tweets (see sidebar), you know I got a camera Sunday night. Well – it is entirely possible I may be obsessed.
So far, I have taken 101 pictures. I did not even start taking pictures until Monday night because they had given me the wrong size of a key part.
Here is the first picture I took.
One of my favorite things to do is put it on the sport function (the running guy) and take a bunch of pictures at the same time. That’s how I made this. And no – technically, that is not Doogie Howser, but it sure could be right?
(Let me know if you have trouble viewing – vimeo wasn’t working so I uploaded into YouTube)
Side note: The reason I bought the camera Sunday night was because Best Buy was having a special ‘members only’ event. It said they were giving away 5 $50 gift cards, a few other prizes, and had some double bonus points and special financing rates. I had been planning for a while to get the camera and this just seemed like the time to do it.
I had to stay the whole two hour event because they were giving away the gift cards throughout the night and I didn’t want to pay for my camera until I knew whether or not I won. I got to watch the Olympics (mostly gymnastics) in the home theater section on the plasmas so it wasn’t as bad as it sounds. I ended up also walking through the cell phone section. The sales guy asked me if I was interested in a new phone. I laughed because I am very interested, as my phone keeps randomly turning off but I know I am not eligible for an upgrade. He tells me that if I let him look me up to see if I am eligible I am entered into a separate drawing for a free bluetooh headset (not required in Florida). I’ve got nothing but time, so I let him look me up.
Well, I wanted to win the gift card – until I won the bluetooth. He told me I could pick any of the models they had in stock. I didn’t like the looks of the most expensive version, so I picked the next one down. Pretty sweet deal for a techno geek like me.
