On the one hand, it would be pretty cool to see one hanging out in a tree, but on the other hand, as you said, they aren't native to FL. Owners buy them when they're small and manageable, but when they get big and more difficult to manage, they turn them loose. That's actually how I got my iguana. The police had captured her in a neighborhood, and she was homeless. I was living in PA, and very lucky for her, it was summer. On a related note, Jason and I went to Aruba for our honeymoon, and there are iguanas all over the place there. They would just be hanging out by the pool and everything. The big joke about our honeymoon pictures is that half of them are of iguanas ;P I've been so embarrassingly behind on blog reading, BTW, so thanks a ton for pointing me in the direction of this.
