351!

Seems to be the number of the day!

As I have ‘twitted’, I have a cold/infection thing that has been going around my office for a couple of weeks now. Last night I took the last dose of my three day Z-pack (wiki says the three day dose is appropriately a Tri-Pak). Considering the entire round of anitbiotics is only three days, the doses are rather large. The first two days I had a little nausea as a side effect (as noted on the packaging). Last night, I had a little more than nausea about an hour and a half after I took my dose.

It was also an hour and a half after I had eaten about 50 carbs and taken the corresponding insulin. As soon as I was able, I tested my blood sugar and was surprised to see a 351 looking back at me.

I would have thought for sure I was low. Three correction doses, two water bottles, and 5.5 hours of sleep later and I woke up at 127 this morning. Stupid diabetes!

351 is also important for a much more fun reason. Can you believe I am just two weeks away from finishing the Diabetes365 project?!

I want to post something fun and exciting for my final picture, and while I am generally a very fun and exciting person, I am coming up short on ideas for this one. What would you like to see for my final picture?
